I sell Shaklee, so a page of reviews written by me is worth very little to you. What is worth something is knowing where the reviews live, who wrote them, and what each source is in a position to tell you.

Independent lab testing of supplements.
Subscription-based, independent of Shaklee, and tests what is actually in the bottle. This is the closest thing to a neutral product referee available to a consumer.
Environmental Working Group, Skin Deep
Ingredient hazard ratings for personal care.
Independent of Shaklee. Lists Shaklee products and marks several EWG VERIFIED. Covers ingredients, not effectiveness.

Unfiltered opinion, much of it critical.
Mostly argues about the direct sales model rather than product testing. Read it. It is a real part of the picture, and I would rather you saw it than found it later.
The part most review pages leave out
Shaklee is a direct sales company, and a lot of the criticism you will find online is about that model rather than about the products. I am not going to pretend that criticism does not exist or that everyone who makes it is wrong. If the business model is the thing bothering you, I have written about it plainly onwhether Shaklee is an MLM, and about the company itself on whether Shaklee is legitimate.
On the products, the useful question is not whether someone liked theirs. It is whether what the label says is in the bottle. That is a testing question, and I have set out the published testing figures and what is independently verifiable onShaklee quality and testing.

I just love Shaklee’s vitamins. The help and advice I have received from Virginia is invaluable. She knows what vitamins to take to improve my health and deal with some problems like high cholesterol. She also lets me know when there are specials on the products I choose, and when free shipping is available. Thanks Virginia.

Common questions about Shaklee reviews
Are Shaklee reviews trustworthy?
It depends entirely on which reviews. Reviews on a distributor’s own site, including mine, are selected by that distributor, so treat them as evidence about the service rather than as an impartial product verdict. Independent testing from ConsumerLab and ingredient ratings from the Environmental Working Group are the ones not written by anyone with something to sell you. Reddit is unfiltered and mostly argues about the business model rather than the products. Read more than one.
What do reviews of Virginia Mitchell say?
The Google Business Profile for this distributorship has 15 reviews averaging 4.9 out of 5. The recurring theme is help choosing what to take and follow-up afterwards, rather than the products themselves. They are public on Google, so you can read them without going through me.
Why are there negative Shaklee reviews on Reddit?
Most of the criticism on Reddit is about multi-level marketing as a business model, not about laboratory results on the products. Those are two different arguments and it is worth separating them. Shaklee is a direct sales company, which is a fair thing to dislike. Whether the supplements are well made is a separate question that independent labs are better placed to answer than a comment thread.
Does Shaklee pay for reviews?
Not that I have seen, and I would not be able to verify it either way for the corporation. For my own listing I can tell you directly: I have never paid for a review, and I have never offered a discount or a product in exchange for one. I ask customers to leave one and some do.
Are the product reviews on this site real?
Yes. Product review text on this site is pulled from the Shaklee store listing for that product, with the reviewer name and date as they appear there. Nothing is written by me and presented as a customer.
