Shaklee creatine: 5 g of micronized creatine monohydrate per scoop, with magnesium and a fruit polyphenol blend. Sold in the US.
Sold in the United States only for now. Shaklee does not yet hold a Health Canada licence (an NPN) for it, so it is not sold in Canada. You can check any product in Health Canada’s Licensed Natural Health Products Database. In Canada? Ask me to tell you when it arrives.
Creatine+ Power Blend is Shaklee’s creatine, and it is new. It is unflavoured, so it mixes into water or a shake. For now it is sold through the US store only; it is not yet licensed for sale in Canada.

What’s inside
The notable ingredients in this formula and what each one is.
-
Creatine monohydrate (micronized) creatine
5 g
Creatine bound to one water molecule, the form used in most creatine research. The body makes about half of the 2 to 4 g it turns over each day from three amino acids (arginine, glycine and methionine); the rest comes from food, mainly meat and fish. Micronized means milled to a finer powder.
-
Magnesium (as trimagnesium citrate) mineral
100 mg (25% DV)
An essential mineral, supplied here bound to citric acid.
-
Muscadine grape extract (Vitis rotundifolia, fruit pomace) polyphenol
Part of a 104 mg blend
An extract of the solids left after pressing muscadine grapes. A source of plant polyphenols.
-
Pomegranate extract (Punica granatum, fruit) polyphenol
Part of a 104 mg blend
An extract of pomegranate fruit, a source of plant polyphenols.
-
Sodium bicarbonate other ingredient
Baking soda; the only other ingredient on the label (15 mg of sodium per scoop).

Creatine+ Power Blend questions
How much creatine is in a scoop?
Each level scoop (6.6 g) has 5 g of creatine monohydrate. The International Society of Sports Nutrition position stand (Kreider and colleagues, 2017) describes 3 to 5 g a day as the amount that keeps muscle creatine stores topped up once they are full.
Do I need a loading phase?
The label directions are one scoop a day, with no loading phase. In the research, loading (about 20 g a day, split into four doses, for 5 to 7 days) fills muscle creatine stores faster, while a steady 3 to 5 g a day reaches the same level in about 3 to 4 weeks (Kreider and colleagues, 2017; Smith-Ryan and colleagues, 2021).
Is creatine safe?
Creatine monohydrate is one of the most studied supplements there is. The 2017 position stand reviewed studies of up to 30 g a day for up to 5 years and found no compelling evidence of harm in healthy people; the one consistently reported side effect was weight gain. If you have kidney disease, are pregnant, or take medication, talk to your doctor first.
Is creatine for women too?
Yes. A 2021 review in Nutrients (Smith-Ryan and colleagues) notes that women have 70 to 80% lower natural creatine stores than men, and concludes that women can follow the same dosing as men.
Why is it sold only in the US?
Supplements sold in Canada need a Health Canada licence, shown on the label as an eight-digit NPN. On September 24, 2026, Health Canada’s Licensed Natural Health Products Database listed no Shaklee creatine product, so Shaklee Canada cannot sell it yet. Ask me and I will tell you when that changes.
